In 2016, IWR GmbH was tasked with the planning and construction supervision of the coarse filtering device for stormwater overflow tank 206 at Breslauer Straße in Böblingen. The planning services were delivered in collaboration with engineering office Köhler in Gera and Systa Gmbh in Bad Köstritz.
In order to achieve better solid retention with regard to the combined sewer overflow discharge, Eigenbetrieb Stadtentwässerung Böblingen decided to install a disk filter at the tank overflow. WKS Technik from Dresden carried out the works and since April 2018 the 14-metre-long disc filter system is in operation. Besides the disc filter installation, the entire switch gear and control system were replaced.
