Laying 315 m of new vacuum pipes in Karlshuld

In the municipality of Karlshuld, a major infrastructure project in the area of negative pressure drainage was recently completed. IWR GmbH planned and implemented the laying of new vacuum drainage pipes over a distance of 315 meters between vacuum station 7 and the main road. The work was carried out on behalf of the municipality of Karlshuld, while the company Seel Bau GmbH was responsible for the execution.

Supply reliability guaranteed by vacuum line in four strands

The vacuum line was designed in four parallel lines with bypass connections to ensure a high level of supply reliability. In view of the special geographical features in Karlshuld, which make conventional drainage difficult, the municipality is completely dependent on negative pressure drainage. This system has proved particularly effective in areas with high groundwater levels, as it remains both reliable and efficient.

Efficient installation thanks to sawtooth profile: cost reduction and increased operational reliability

The sawtooth profile and the shallow laying depth of 3 meters have reduced excavation costs, making this system particularly suitable for flat regions. The parallel pipes also offer a high level of operational reliability and flexibility, while the closed system minimizes the risk of leaks and prevents the ingress of extraneous water.
