Drainage concept – wastewater and rainwater + storage<\/h2>\n

In June 2021, IWR GmbH<\/span>, as a subcontractor<\/span> and in cooperation <\/span>with<\/span> ‘Dr. Bruch & <\/span>Partner Geowissenschaftler und Ingenieure Partnergesellschaft’<\/span> within the scope of a requirements analysis, a <\/span>drainage concept for <\/span> Stuttgart 21<\/span> –<\/span> development area C1<\/span> ‘<\/span>Rose<\/span>nsteinviertel<\/span>‘<\/span> in Stuttgart was created. <\/span>Rosensteinviertel is part of Stuttgart’s city centre and has a development area of 85 ha<\/span>. <\/span> <\/span>In addition to conserving resources through drinking water<\/span> <\/span>substitution and groundwater recharge as well as <\/span>the<\/span> adaptation<\/span> to<\/span> th<\/span>e<\/span> consequences<\/span> of<\/span> climate change,<\/span> the<\/span> requirements analysis <\/span>considered <\/span>the specific features of the development area. <\/span> <\/span>The particular challenges in the requirements analysis were:<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/p>\n

– <\/span>Minimising the additional load on the existing drainage MWK <\/span> DN <\/span>1000<\/span> <\/span><\/span>
– <\/span>Adaptin<\/span>g<\/span> drinking water use<\/span> to the resource-conserving handling of fresh water <\/span>reserves<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/p>\n

Taking<\/span> these<\/span> needs into account<\/span>,<\/span> the<\/span> requirements<\/span> analysis<\/span> was comprised of<\/span> the<\/span> following<\/span> four <\/span>subareas:<\/span><\/span>

1.<\/span> Grey water utilization concept<\/span><\/span>
2.<\/span> Black water disposal concept<\/span><\/span>
3.<\/span> Precipitation water management<\/span><\/span>
4.<\/span> Storage of precipitation water and<\/span> grey water<\/span> for irrigation<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/p>\n

IWR GmbH has concerned itself with subareas 2) Black water disposal concept and <\/span> 4) <\/span>Storage of precipitation water and grey water.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
