{"id":2209,"date":"2019-10-07T13:39:21","date_gmt":"2019-10-07T11:39:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iwr-ing.com\/news\/rainwater-treatment-in-calwer-strasse\/"},"modified":"2021-06-25T09:33:31","modified_gmt":"2021-06-25T07:33:31","slug":"rainwater-treatment-in-calwer-strasse","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iwr-ing.com\/en\/news\/rainwater-treatment-in-calwer-strasse\/","title":{"rendered":"Rainwater treatment in Calwer Stra\u00dfe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Earlier this year, IWR GmbH was tasked by the city of B\u00f6blingen to plan a central facility for storm-water treatment and storage in Calwer Stra\u00dfe.<\/p>\n<p>In view of the new leading parameter AFS<em><sub>fein<\/sub><\/em> (total suspended solids &#8211; fine) of the forthcoming working paper DWA-A 102\/BWK-A 3 <em>&#8216;Grunds\u00e4tze zur Bewirtschaftung und Behandlung von Regenwetterabfl\u00fcssen zur Einleitung in Oberfl\u00e4chengew\u00e4sser&#8217;<\/em>, a lamella settler was chosen for the treatment facility. Accordingly, a combined facility, containing a sewer with storage capacity and overflow as well as a cross flow lamella settler, is planned for the treatment and storage of surface runoff from the main road. Furthermore, additional special-purpose structures like a basin overflow and a throttling device with grit trap including technical equipment are planned. The measurement of overflow activity was considered in the design, with respect to the decree of the Ministry of the Environment, Climate Protection and the Energy Sector Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg <em>\u2018Messen an R\u00dcB\u2019<\/em> (measuring at rainwater overflow basins). Currently, service phases 4-5 are being implemented.
