The basin will be located underground in the Murkenbach area and will be used to temporarily store rainwater during heavy rainfall events and thus relieve the drainage infrastructure in situations of stress. <\/p>\n<p>The official project kick-off took place with the ground-breaking ceremony on September 19, 2025, immediately followed by the start of construction: Construction work has been underway since Monday, September 29, 2025. The underground design creates the required retention space without permanently occupying the area above ground.
